Last December 22, 2017, I applied for a US TOURIST Visa here in Singapore. I'm quite nervous because I don't know if I'll get approve or denied but still, I tried my luck. I did all the best that I could; filled up my D-160 Form, Paid a hefty amount for visa fee, scheduled my appointment and PRAY HARD!
On the day of my appointment, the line is not that long compared to what I heard from those applying in the Philippines. The US Embassy in Singapore is located at 27 Napier road.
I arrived 15 minutes earlier then I started queueing. The guard took my phone because phones are not allowed inside the embassy.
Inside the embassy, there are 3 windows. First, they will take your passport and give you a queue number for the next window. The second window is where they will get your fingerprints and hand you back over your passport. The last window is where all the interview happens. Its kinda weird, coz while you are in the line, you will hear the whole interview. it gives me more anxiety I guess, because right there and then, you will see those who are denied of US visa and those who are approved. Then my turn (to know the whole set of questions asked to me, please watch this video)
When I heard the line,
"Your visa is approved please wait for 3 working days to get your passport back"
WOW! as in wow! Finally, Dream come true! I can now go to USA hassle free. I can visit my grandma and my relatives there.
December 27, 2017, I was able to get back my passport and see what I have?
